About Dr. Lyubomyr Branets

Dr. Branets is an accomplished and highly skilled dentist with a diverse educational background and a wealth of clinical and teaching experience. Driven by a passion for dentistry, Lyubomyr Branets embarked on his educational journey, culminating in a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2019. During his time at NYUCD, Dr. Branets has had experience in orofacial pain, honing his skills in the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), neuralgia, and other non-odontogenic pain disorders. He has performed trigger point injections and massages to relieve muscle tension, further showcasing his commitment to comprehensive patient care.

Our approach may incorporate Trigger Point Injections, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) therapy, and therapeutic hot and cold treatment, individually or in combination depending on your evaluation and specific needs.

 

• Trigger Point Injections

Tight, irritated muscles can develop sensitive areas known as trigger points. These areas may cause pain locally or refer discomfort to other areas of the head, face, jaw, neck, and shoulders. Trigger point injections are used to target these specific areas with the goal of reducing muscle-related pain and improving comfort and function

• TENS Therapy

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) therapy uses controlled electrical stimulation to help manage muscle discomfort and tension. For selected patients with head, neck, jaw, or TMD-related muscle pain, TENS may be incorporated into a comprehensive treatment plan to promote muscle relaxation and provide symptomatic relief.

• Therapeutic Hot & Cold Treatment

Sometimes simple therapies can make an important difference. Carefully applied heat or cold therapy may help manage muscle soreness, stiffness, inflammation, and discomfort. We can incorporate these therapies into treatment and provide guidance on their appropriate use at home.
